From Suntec City, you can walk to The Merlion, pass by a lot of malls along the way. We took a cab because our feet were already sore from walking the whole day at Ikea and Suntec City. There are coffee shops near The Merlion, if you want coffee by the bay with the view of the statue of this mythical creature.

Personally, I did not find it very grand. Because for one, it is small, the one in Sentosa Island is much bigger, and two, it’s just there, spitting out water to the Marina Bay. But go there and enjoy the view. You can also see The Esplanade, Theatres on the Bay and The Singapore Flyer (a really big ferris wheel) from the Merlion’s adjacent bridge.

The dome you see on the left is The Esplanade
read more about The Esplanade here.

I would love to hear from you!
