LookLeft Commune is a fairly young beach resort in Pundaquit, in San Antonio Zambales and Markado is LookLeft's annual anniversary party.
On its second year, they got Manila-based bands Reklamo
and La Loba Negra, Adinkra Lumads, and DJ Medmessiah to play. Bonus jams from the very talented Tao Aves, and brothers from different mothers Anton and Carlo of Tukar Sinati!

It was a full moon that night! This one was taken earlier when people were not dancing yet so we have a good view of the dome stage and the moon right above it.

The owners said they aim to always celebrate Markado on a full moon. This one fell on February 11-12, 2017. On both days, a lot of people were jamming with guitars and percussions, while the other sing along or dance. The whole vibe was festive and friendly.

Now I have to say that I surely got my money’s worth on this event -- the vibe, the food, the gig and best of all, the community dancing and singing, and I very much look
forward to next year’s Markado III.
