LookLeft is a two year old commune beach resort near the foot of Mt. Pundaquit. It has 11 kubo fan rooms, one dorm type room that can comfortably fit 16 people, an AC room for four, and an AC room for six with its own balcony. It has a set of communal toilets and shower rooms, tables and chairs for sharing, a tent area, and a tree house.

Its name is the most apt. From crossing the rivermouth of the Pundaquit beach, turn left. Then at the far end, on the left is the resort. It is also situated right in front of the beach’s famous surf spot: Magic Left.

The charm of this resort not only lies on its communal nature, or the waterfalls right behind it, but also on the hospitality of its owner Marion who made sure we had a delightful stay through her resort manager Mikee, and caretaker Michael. Marion also does the reservations personally.

It is important to note that the parking lots and drop off point are a bit far from the resort. There’s quite a walk on the beach a small river-crossing. Fortunately, Michael fetched us from the drop off point.
