Pintô Art Museum is an affordable form of entertainment if you're into museums and nature. Sitting on a huge piece of land with diverse flora, and more than two hundred artworks, it is a steal at Php 200.00 entrance fee for adults and Php 100.00 for students.

After you have toured the complex, it's time to unwind and eat some delish food at Café Rizal. They have a wide selection of food from appetisers to desserts as well as smoothies and beers. Yay!

Here's what we had and I am telling you, they are yum yum yum! We also had iced tea and tamarind smoothie, which is definitely a must try!

How to Enjoy Pinto Art Museum in Three Steps

First of all, allot time.

Probably the most famous structure in Pintô Art Museum

Pintô Art Museum sits inside a two hectare garden complex known as the Silangan Gardens, which in itself an ecological work with its variety of plants and flora, and a sanctuary for birds and local fauna. (source) So being able to check out each and every artwork will take some time.

Because of the beds scattered around this area, lovers (in particular) choose to rest here

But that is also a very good thing about this museum -- because it is big, no matter how many guests it has, there's still ample room to enjoy each painting or sculpture. Download museum map here to see where the several galleries are located.

Second, be attentive.

There are several random installation pieces jutting out of the greens in the lush and refreshing gardens, or hanging from trees, or above arches. There are pieces that moves if you touch them, some you can even ride, and some breathtaking views afar, so paying attention will, well, pay off.

And also because of the greens, it's fairly windy and there are several shaded areas.

Third, take photos. Of course, take photos.

A lot of instagram posts have been pinned at Pintô Art Museum and there is a good reason for that. The place is amazing and photographs very, very well. In fact, they have photoshoot packages that are not really cheap, so appreciate and get your best poses together and have fun!

Step Four: A bonus. Eat at the Café Rizal. They have a good selection of food and drinks. The Tamarind smoothie is a must try!

The National Museum of Cambodia in Phnom Penh is Cambodia's largest museum of cultural history and is the country's leading historical and archaeological museum.

The museum houses one of the world's largest collections of Khmer art, including sculptural, ceramics, bronzes, and ethnographic objects. Its collection includes over 14,000 items, from prehistoric times to periods before, during and after the Khmer Empire, which at its height stretched from Thailand, across present-day Cambodia, to southern Vietnam.

The National Museum of Cambodia is located on Street 13 in central Phnom Penh, to the north of the Royal Palace and on the west side of Veal Preah Man square. The visitors' entrance to the compound is at the corner of Streets 13 and 178. The Royal University of Fine Arts is located on the west side of the museum. The museum is under the authority of the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts. The museum buildings, inspired by Khmer temple architecture, were constructed between 1917 and 1924, the museum was officially inaugurated in 1920, and it was renovated in 1968.

 Casa Bizantina can be rented out. You get the whole house for yourself. It can house 16 people or more, has around 380 sqm of floor area, has a couple of rooms and all other areas of a typical house -- living, dining, kitchen, toilets and baths, etc. You can rent this room all to yourself for... wait for it... Php150,000! Apparently, celebrities actually rent out the place, and we were not able to enter because a family was occupying the place (not celebrities though, just some very wealthy family).

Cafe Marivent is one of the two restaurants that serve full meals. It is a Spanish - Filipino restaurant. The other is an Italian restaurant - La Bella Teodora.

Here's a first timer tourist's guide to Singapore from another first timer.

Travel Essentials:

First thing that you need to do is be familiar with the Train (LRT or MRT) stations. The MRT can take you to almost all of the places you need to go to.

The trains are always on time and the stations are easy to navigate because of the numerous signage that point you to your destination. 

MRT rides cost .80 to 1.90 SGD, quite affordable for its efficiency.

Of course always bring money, Singapore Dollars or US Dollars are both accepted in most establishments but it's better to have your money exchanged for the local currency.

Always bring your passport. It's an essential anywhere you go.

If you plan to have a whole day of activities, which you could actually do in Singapore, wear a comfortable pair of shoes.

You can actually see the whole of Singapore in one day (minus shopping, of course) because of it's convenient transportation, clean roads, and it's a very small country.

In four days, I was able to go to Vivo City, Sentosa Resort, Clark Quay, Ikea, Suntec City, The Merlion, The Esplanade, Orchard Road, Museums (National Museum of Singapore, Singapore Art Museum, and 8Q SAM), Bugis, Night Safari, Mustafa, Funan, Chinatown, and Marina Square.
