Side story on LookLeft Commune's very accommodating vibe:
We came a bit early, and the competition hasn’t started yet. So I went ahead and looked for Mikee (the resort manager) at LookLeft Commune. The first person I saw was Michael (the resort's help) and he called at me waving and greeting me with “Ate Roma, kamusta?” He sure does remember my name!
I ordered a round of beer while we waited for the competition to start, but they haven’t stocked up yet, so I asked if we could buy our beer outside and stay in the resort. Mikee said yes, and at no corkage. Since we’re occupying a whole table, we decided to order food. But the kitchen was closed (it was around 3:30 PM) and was not to re-open until an hour and a half later. I politely asked if they could serve us food since we came from Liwliwa, about 45 minutes away from LookLeft, and didn’t reach the lunch cutoff.
Well, the cook said yes and
served us our food with a smile. :)
