Tagudin is a municipality in Ilocos Sur, and it houses the oldest sundials in the whole of the Philippines.

Pictured here is the one found in the town plaza which was said to be built by a priest named Fr. Juan Sorolla, in 1848.

The older sundial, is found inside the St. Augustine School in Tagudin, built in 1841. Because it is inside a school compound, a tourist cannot easily visit the older sundial. But they look exactly the same, only differing in orientation and inscriptions.
